Theme 6: A workshop was held at the National University of Singapore from 29 to 30 November 2011. Theme 1: UConn call for EOIs to fill short term teaching and research mentoring positions in the Ethiopian Institute for Water Resources. (posted 3 May 2011)
The Ethiopian Institute of Water Resources (EIWR) at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, is looking for faculty and experts who can travel to Ethiopia and deliver an intensive three-week graduate-level course during summer 2011, fall 2011 and spring 2012 as part of the Water Resources Engineering and Management (WREM) programme. EIWR was established under the Africa-U.S. Higher Education Initiative funded by USAID-HED to serve as the central administration unit to coordinate research, education and outreach activities amongst partnering U.S. and Ethiopian Universities.
The current partnering universities are the University of Connecticut and Alabama A&M University in the U.S. and Addis Ababa University, Mekelle University, Hawassa University, Arba Minch University and Bahir Dar University in Ethiopia.
