Student Mobility Group
The aim of the U21 Student Mobility Group is to enhance student mobility within Universitas 21 by:
- Sharing information and best practice
- Promoting collegial interaction
- Collaborating on student mobility projects
- Engaging in professional development.
The group includes a nominated U21 Student Mobility Officer (SMO from each member institution. Each SMO is responsible for communication between U21 and members of their university in matters related to mobility. Details on designated SMOs for each member are available on our member pages.
The Student Mobility Group meet annually. The meetings, which are always well attended, provide an important forum for SMOs to meet and discuss issues of common interest as well as progress the U21 student mobility agenda through collegial interaction and collaborative projects. For communication and correspondence between AGMs, the SMOs use a dedicated U21 student mobility email list.
Whenever possible, meetings take place at a member university. Past meetings have taken place at the University of British Columbia, McGill University, The University of Queensland, Tecnológico de Monterrey, University College Dublin, and The University of Connecticut. Reports from past meetings are available below.
