Registration Extended for Global Citizenship Workshop
The first Global Citizenship workshop will be held at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus from 13-14 March 2014. (This is immediately prior to APAIE conference in Seoul, Korea from 17 - 20 March).
This workshop will explore our current understanding and approach towards promoting Global Citizenship within the student body.It will then specifically address the question of how a global university network can develop activities that support partner organisations in enhancing student engagement with an understanding of Global Citizenship.
We encourage attendance from the following groups, particularly where individuals or teams have already engaged with issues relating to Global Citizenship in their own institutions:
- U21 Students: Partner institutions to nominate ONE student per institution.
- U21 Professional Services: a key constituency at the event. Representatives from student experience/student mobility/curriculum development, and careers/employability are strongly urged to attend.
- U21 Academics: Academics with strong teaching and learning interest in the integration of Global Citizenship initiatives in existing degree programmes and extra-curricular activities, as well as academics with disciplinary or subject-specific interest in the field are encouraged to attend.
