Aspire to make change!

U21 Aspire is an online development micro-programme for aspiring social entrepreneurs and change makers. The free, online hub provides on demand access to video content from successful social entrepreneurs and leaders and fellow students who have set up their own social projects. You can work through the content at whatever time and whatever speed suit you! Through the suggested exercises, Aspire allows you to explore their next steps to becoming a social change maker. The programme is open to students of any academic discipline or level of study. On completion of all the online content, students will be able to earn the U21 Aspire certificate.

U21 delivers a range of internationally focussed opportunities which enhance student engagement, mobility and employability and help prepare students for life and work across international borders and cultural boundaries.

Aims of U21 Global Student programmes:

Bring together students from all 29 member universities to connect, learn and create a global community of future leaders who are equipped to work collaboratively across borders, time zones and hierarchies.
Support the development of a generation of global citizens who are equipped to take action on key issues and have a tangible impact on their own networks and wider communities.
Creating accessible, sustainable international opportunities for students at all levels and of all disciplines.

U21 Student Programmes

Global Citizens

U21 Global Citizens is an online leadership development course for students at U21 partner institutions. With the support of trained facilitators from Common Purpose, students work together, across borders and time zones, tackling some of the world’s most pressing problems as outlined in the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG).

Applications for U21 Global Citizens 2023 are now closed. Applications for March 2024 will open in early 2024.

Sustainable Micro-Internships

U21 Sustainable Micro-Internships are an exclusive opportunity for U21 students to come together and work in small groups to make change on behalf of a organisation. This real-world project tests your ability to deliver results in the workplace, working with a diverse, international team and building key employability skills.
