Global focus and commitments

Education

U21 fosters collaboration among university leaders through peer-to-peer programs and steering groups. These initiatives enable sharing of best practices and tackling common challenges in areas like AI, sustainable international learning, and curriculum design.

Research

We run a suite of member-led projects and programmes that enrich research outcomes through access to our international network, open dialogue and enriching workshops and training programmes.

Health

The Universitas 21 Health Sciences Group is a unique global university network of Health Sciences staff and students that includes members from 20 universities from within the overall U21 network.

Equity, Diversity, Inclusion

Global education and connections should be universally accessible. Their transformative potential should be extended to every member of our network, irrespective of their background, role, ability, or means.

Sustainability

Across our network, all our members care deeply about a future that is safer and more sustainable for everyone. A defining characteristic of U21 members is a commitment to strengthening our positive impact in the world, both individually and collectively.

How we achieve this

We support discussions at all levels and for all functions within higher education. Groups range from Vice Chancellors and Deans, Registrars, Early Career Researchers through to Pro-Vice Chancellors of Research or Education, Leads for International offices and students interested in sustainability

Peer-to-peer networks

Steering groups

With membership nominated from each institutions across the network, these groups of senior leaders provide a trusted forum for peer to peer collaboration, learning and knowledge exchange.

Communities of Practice

The U21 network provides the opportunity for people to more easily make international connections to learn and share best practice. Anyone meeting certain minimum requirements can initiate a U21 Community of Practice.
