Graduate Researcher Community of Practice
The Graduate Researcher Community of Practice, established in 2007, brings together postgraduate research students from U21 Schools of Education to collaborate and deepen understanding of educational issues from a global perspective. With ongoing financial and collegial support from the U21 Council of Deans of Education, the community has continued to grow and thrive. The Forum for International Networking in Education (FINE)— held annually, often alongside Education conferences such as the American Educational Research Association (AERA) conference—serves as the central gathering point for these researchers. The Forum offers valuable opportunities for professional learning, networking, and sharing research across international contexts. Since 2020, the CoP has expanded its activities to include online webinars. Through initiatives such as these, U21’s Graduate Researcher Community continues to nurture collaboration, build research capacity, and promote a globally engaged education research network.
