U21 Student Mobility Meeting - Nottingham Malaysia

The U21 Student Mobility Group recently met at the University of Nottingham Malaysia campus for a well-attended and productive two-day meeting. The group came together to tackle shared challenges in global student mobility and enhance the internationalised student experience across the network.

We received a fantastic welcome from out hosts at Nottingham Malaysia, and alongside the meeting had the opportunity to explore some of the sights and sounds of Kuala Lumpur, including a trip up the KL Tower for dinner.

Enhanced student mobility opportunities are some of the widest-reaching benefits of U21, with over 5000 taking place within the network last year. Every delegate presented their current opportunities and challenges. It was striking to see so many similarities within this global group, and the opportunity to work through challenges together over the two days demonstrated the real value in coming together.

We ran some intensive workshops mapping out the group’s current projects: a U21 benefits package for students, staff CPD programmes, and the development of an intercultural competence toolkit supporting internationalisation in our universities.
