Senior Manager (Network Development and Researcher Engagement)

Connie is responsible for the development and delivery of a cross-network programme of activities to bring together the clusters and enhance the network’s offer to its members. She also oversees the Researcher Engagement cluster to enable researchers, at all levels, to engage with the U21 network. She has extensive experience of cultural programme development; identifying research opportunities and forging effective working partnerships with regional HEIs, practitioners and cultural organisations. A researcher and art historian, Connie graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2012; her PhD covered themes including nineteenth-century landscape painting and Birmingham artists and art education during the period. As a curator, she has written and edited publications focusing on Pop Art and managed a number of international research collaborations and touring exhibitions. She is continuing her research as an Honorary Research Fellow with University of Birmingham's School of History and Cultures.
