Provost
The Provost is a senior academic appointed to oversee the strategic planning and function of the U21 international network, supported by the U21 Director of Operations and her team. The Provost has responsibility for the overall direction and coherence of the network’s activities and projects, working closely with the Presidents/Vice Chancellors and Senior Leaders for each of the member universities. The Provost leads in identifying new opportunities and projects in which staff and students in the network's member universities can engage, liaising closely with the Chairs and Managers of the Educational, Research and Student Experience Clusters.
A Professor of Planning and a former Dean, Professor Jenny Dixon is seconded to the role of U21 Provost from the University of Auckland, where since 2012 she has been Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Strategic Engagement). Jenny brings to the Provost role her extensive experience in international education and international networking relationships. She has been the Chair of the U21 Senior Leaders Group and occupied senior roles in other university networks.
