Professor Peter Mascher Elected as Senior Leaders’ Group Chair

Universitas 21 is delighted to announce that Professor Peter Mascher from McMaster University has been elected as the new Chair of the Senior Leaders’ Group. This group comprises senior representatives of the network’s 27 member universities.

A Professor in the Department of Engineering Physics, Peter oversees McMaster’s International Portfolio as Vice-Provost, International Affairs. He holds the William Sinclair Chair in Optoelectronics and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and the Electrochemical Society.

Professor Mascher is looking forward to working with the Senior Leaders’ Group in his new role; “I personally am deeply committed to supporting U21’s ongoing efforts towards achieving the SDGs, addressing issues of Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity, and providing learners with opportunities for a true global citizen’s experience. Members of the Senior Leaders’ Group have key roles to play in initiating, coordinating and driving these efforts.”
