    Universitas 21 is delighted to announce that Jim Lowe, Assistant Vice-Provost, University of Connecticut, has been elected as the new Chair of the Employability Group. This group comprises senior representatives in the area of Careers and Employability from the network’s 27 member universities.

    This year’s online ECR workshop brought together nearly 80 participants from 17 U21 universities, across 12 countries, to address the challenges faced in Planetary Health today; the rapid degradation of our planet threatens the health – and survival – of communities around the world.

    On February 16 & 17 2022, Lund University hosted a two-day online Education Innovation Symposium for U21 members on the topic Teaching for Sustainability.

    Universitas 21 is delighted to welcome Professor Tan, Eng Chye of the National University of Singapore as the new Chair of the Network. Professor Tan, President of the National University of Singapore, succeeds Professor Sir David Eastwood, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Birmingham, who has held the position since 2014.

    U21 is delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for the PIEoneer Awards 2021, in the Sustainability International Impact category. This category recognises organisations in the education sector who are proactively making positive changes to continue providing a global outlook to education, whilst minimising the impact on the environment.

    The 2020/21 RISE (Real Impact on Society and Environment) awards have once again proved to be a huge success, with record participation from 200 students across 55 different projects, representing 23 of our member universities.
